Pain

Throughout life one must endure some kind of pain, whether it is mental, physical, or emotionally based. However, how the individual him/herself deals with this pain can dictate how long the suffering they are enduring will last. People tend to react to pain in completely different ways, some tend to seclude themselves from the rest of the world while others tend to be open and voice their pain. Even though one might think that either one is good or bad in their own right, both have different durations of pain associated with them.

First, I’ll analyze an individual that tends to keep his/her pain to their self. Although they feel as though they have lost a apart of themselves with the loss of someone, cutting themselves out from the everyday life may cause that individual more harm than good. By keeping all the emotions that they are enduring through this rough time in it only builds up the anger and frustration inside them and that could lead them to act on it and that will just bring more harm than good. What they fail to realize is that the situation in which they are in, is a situation that someone else has endured before them and knows exactly how they feel and can help them through it. Although there are negatives to this way of coping with pain, it also allows one to just be by themselves and try to clear their mind and then maybe eventually realize that life goes on and that by dwelling on this event in their life they are just causing more pain to themselves.

Next, I will look into those that tend to voice the pain in which they are going through. By opening up and letting people around them know exactly how they are feeling, it allows the people around them to help to get them through the pain the individual is enduring. Also, it allows the individual to not hold all the anger, sadness, and other emotions that they are going through inside them. This will help to ensure that they will not act out or cause harm to themselves because they feel alone or are just infuriated with their loss. Although this way seems more positive of an option, by one opening up it brings more individuals into their business and can cause them more stress due to the individuals around them constantly making sure they are okay.

Although pain is definitely the low point of life, there are multiple ways one can deal with it. One option may seem more of a reasonable option to an individual, it may not be reasonable to the person next to them. Either way one chooses to deal with their pain, they have to control it so that way they do not do anything to cause them more pain. People just need to realize that they are never alone, there is always someone there to build you back up when one hits rock bottom.
